Listed on the National Register of Historic Places, Atlanta’s Historic Fox Theatre hosts a wonderful variety of performances throughout the course of the year — from musicals to comedy to dance, and so much more! It’s also one of the entertainment venues and cultural connections that makes living in the city so inviting!
Originally designed for Atlanta’s Shriners, the Fox is filled with elaborate, ornamental architectural accents and the largest theatre Möller organ in the world (yes, even today). It opened on Christmas Day of 1929 to a sold-out crowd for the showing of Steamboat Willie, a Disney cartoon production featuring Mickey Mouse!
